A magical start to the day...

The Day Began With Serenity and Sincerity

Brian and Adriana actually began their day at St. Joseph. Adriana began her morning, after arriving ready for the day, by having her first look with her dad. It was a touching moment, as these always can be, seeing a father lose his composure as he prepares to walk his daughter down the aisle. Fast forward to the end of the ceremony, after Brian and Adriana said their I Do's, the elation in the room was palpable as the bridal party was ready to party, so off we went... to the lovely Evermore Resort.

Enter forever more into love...

The Evermore Resort

Upon arriving at the Evermore Resort in Orlando, despite Orlando traffic doing its best to slow down the day and the proceedings, Kevin Moreno and I did what any good wedding photo and video team would do... we immediately got to work setting up for the reception in the Boathouse. An insanely stunning wedding venue space with windows on three sides that provide a wonderful panoramic view of Evermore Bay and an abundance of natural sunlight. Something that makes it ideal for luxury wedding receptions, especially during the Florida summer when the sun sets later in the evening. Between the outdoor deck, the waterfront views, and the Boathouse Lawn, the entire setting felt relaxed, elegant, and perfect for celebrating with family and friends.

But first...

Golden Hour Family and Bridal Party Photos

Once we were done setting up, and the Bride and Groom had had some time to freshen up, we headed out onto the golf course, just a short walk away from the boathouse, for family and bridal party photos. With the sun now lower in the sky, I decided this would be the perfect backdrop for some classic and timeless images. Sun setting, clean green grass, trees, and a lake in the distance... it all was just so beautiful to behold at this hour, and it was close enough to the venue that we would not lose time heading to and from it.

It was here that we set up and were able to not only quickly and efficiently run through family photos, as well as bridal party snaps... but we also gained back some time we had lost from that Orlando traffic I mentioned earlier due to the ease of shooting. As someone who uses off-camera flash a lot, this is one of my specialties, but this spot would also be perfect for natural light portraits, as the sun behind the bridal party would still provide some good natural light, even if (especially if) it was partly cloudy. I highly recommend spaces like this, whether you are in a time crunch or not, as it allows the sun to do its thing and gives you all the space you need for a big family and bridal party.

Onto the Reception.

Enter the Boathouse

Now that we had significantly clawed back some lost time from Orlando traffic and had captured all family and bridal party photos, we prepared for the reception... and my, what a beautiful reception it was. Adriana and Bryan entered the boathouse by boat... I suppose I gave that away with the banner image, but... needless to say, it was a unique, fun, and outstanding way to truly make an entrance. All the guests were standing on the boathouse lawn, as this is also where cocktail hour was set up. As the bride and groom rode in like something out of a James Bond film, the guests began taking pictures, waving, clapping, and became even more excited for the reception. I have to be honest, I loved this because it was the kind of entrance you don’t get in many places in Orlando. Even as a professional photographer, it oozed style and luxury while also just being incredibly cool to see.

Once the beautiful couple stepped off the boat and were back on the dock, they shared a quiet moment and a kiss before guests descended on them with hugs and asks for group photos. Then it was time to go dance, drink, and eat cake... well, after dinner.

With the room packed full of wedding guests, glasses filled, and the sun beginning to set over the beautiful views of Evermore Bay, the MC announced it was time to reintroduce the bride and groom for the second time that day. One by one, the wedding party danced their way into the reception at the Boathouse at Evermore Resort in Orlando, bringing so much energy into the room from the very start.

Kevin and I have worked together for so long that moments like these feel second nature to capture, but the Boathouse made the process even easier because of how thoughtfully designed the space is for weddings and events. It is honestly one of the few reception venues in Central Florida that I would recommend without hesitation, especially for couples planning a larger guest list. Even with a packed reception space, the tables never felt cramped or restrictive, and we had more than enough room to move throughout the venue and capture everything we needed without constantly bumping into guests or getting in each other’s way.

That might sound like a small detail, but it makes a massive difference on a wedding day. A well designed reception venue allows photographers, videographers, planners, DJs, and catering staff to move naturally throughout the evening without disrupting guests or slowing down the flow of events. Other wedding venues honestly should take note because this is one of those behind the scenes details that can completely change how seamless the night feels for everyone involved. When the space works with the vendors instead of against them, it allows us to focus entirely on capturing memories and creating the best possible experience for the couple and their guests.

Before long, Brian and Adriana entered the room to a standing ovation before going straight into their first dance. The energy in the room was incredible, and they fully embraced every moment of the celebration. As the night continued, we moved through heartfelt speeches, a prayer, cake cutting, and some classic wedding traditions like the garter removal and toss. The layout of the Boathouse made every transition feel smooth and effortless, which kept the momentum of the reception going all night long.

Weddings at Evermore Resort really do offer such a unique combination of elegance, atmosphere, and functionality. Between the waterfront views, the beautiful reception space, and the way the venue accommodates both guests and vendors so well, it is easy to see why it has quickly become one of my favorite Orlando wedding venues to photograph.
