AI in Libraries and the Future of Learning

As Marina began her tenure as president, she opened with a thoughtful and timely question about the role of artificial intelligence in our society and how we must learn to understand it if we hope to thrive alongside it. Her message encouraged attendees to move beyond fear or uncertainty and instead approach technological change with curiosity, responsibility, and a willingness to adapt.

The conference brought together librarians, educators, innovators, and community leaders from across Florida to discuss the evolving relationship between technology, information, and public service. Libraries have always played an important role in access to knowledge and education, and many of the conversations throughout the event focused on how those responsibilities continue to evolve in a rapidly changing digital world.

One of the things I enjoy most about photographing conferences is capturing the human side of these conversations. Every event has its own atmosphere and rhythm, whether it is a keynote presentation, a quiet moment between sessions, or the energy of people connecting over shared ideas. Great event photography should preserve not only what happened, but also how it felt to be there.
